From the Tokyo Interchange on the Tomei Expressway (about 4 hours and 30 minutes)

From Nagoya Station (about 2 hours)

From Toyohashi Station, take the Toyohashi Railroad from the adjacent Shin-Toyohashi Station.
One train leaves every 15 minutes. Get off at Mikawa-Tahara Station, the last stop.

You can also come by ferry or boat from Toba or Nagoya.

It takes about 30 minutes to drive by car from Mikawa-Tahara Station to Kakujoro, so it may be expensive (about 13,000 yen). Thank you for your understanding.
Atsumi Peninsula is surrounded by the sea on three sides,
and the lush green forests are one of its features.
Come feel the nature and heal yourself among the ocean and forest.
Sante Park Tahara, a hands-on agricultural park. Get up close with ponies, goats, and other animals. There are also places to play and many handcraft activities, so you can spend a whole day here.
The warm Atsumi Peninsula is home to greenhouses with delicious strawberries. The strawberry picking season is from early December to late May, so if you come during this time of year, be sure to try it.
Atsumi Peninsula is one of the biggest producers of melons, and from May to October, you can enjoy all-you-can-eat sweet and juicy melons and savor freshly picked melons at melon picking spots.
Take a trip by boat departing from Cape Irago.
If you are lucky, you may even see dolphins.
Located in Ise City, Mie Prefecture, Ise Jingu is a vast shrine that consists of the Naiku (inner shrine) and the Geku (outer shrine). It enshrines Amaterasu Omikami, who sits atop the eight million gods and is likened to the sun.
A beach in Ise City in Mie Prefecture. It is a place of purification where the servants and visitors of Ise Jingu Shrine purify themselves. Okitama Shrine is located at the east end, and the Meoto Iwa rocks of Jinseki are also famous.
It has the most species of living creatures out of any aquarium in Japan, with about 1,200 species bred and exhibited here. This is the only aquarium in Japan with dugongs, and you can see other sea creatures from all over the world, such as sea otters, finless porpoises, and Baikal seals.
