From the inn's owner
In the Fukue area, which once flourished as a center of trade,
there are the registered tangible cultural properties of Kakujoro and Izutsuro.
The area is not a tourist destination,
and the transportation is inconvenient, so there is not much to see.
However, if you enter the large building standing boldly and elegantly,
as if yearning for its former glory, you will be amazed by its otherworldliness.
Get up close with remains of the Taisho and Showa periods,
now distant memories of the past, and be amazed by their otherworldliness.
Please enjoy this unique sensation of completely new, yet completely nostalgic.
We hope that you will experience the most modern hot spring in Japan,
lay back, and have a simple, enjoyable time.
Our signature kaiseki cuisine
Kaiseki cuisine with local dishes made with ingredients representative
of Atsumi Peninsula and fresh seasonal fish and shellfish.
In the winter, please enjoy our signature fugu kaiseki.
The kaiseki cuisine is made with local fish and the abundant blessings of Atsumi.
The inn's owner goes to the fish market in Irago every day in person to purchase the best local fish that are in season.
The inn has a treasure trove of ingredients, including the finest natural torafugu, spring blackthroat seaperch,
early summer beltfish, winter blackhead sea bream and flathead, and cherry blossom sea bream
as beautiful as cherry blossom petals.
The vegetables are carefully picked out and bought fresh every day.
The owner himself serves the finest ingredients using the best recipes.
Natural torafugu dishes (October to March)
The larger the torafugu, the more chewiness, umami, and gelatin it has.
Its umami flavor is especially delicious when it turns an amber color.
Many high-quality torafugu rich in collagen are caught in autumn and winter,
including fine specimens that weigh more than 3 kilograms.
Take this opportunity to enjoy our many signature natural torafugu dishes.

A place to relax
There are three buildings: Kakujoro, the main building, which gives off the scent of wood;
Suijoro, which has maisonette-style rooms; and Unjoro, which has open-air baths and shower booths.
Skin-beautifying water
This building provides a separate public bath for men and women as well as private baths for guest rooms.
They all contain skin-beautifying water from Irago Onsen, which is said to be gentle to the skin.
Feel the history
The retro Showa-era interior lets you feel the beauty and history of ancient Japan throughout the building.
Restaurant
The restaurant has a pure Japanese architecture with lighting and a counter creating a modern atmosphere.
The counter is a stylish space where you can eat while gazing across the counter at nature in the courtyard, the inn's pride.
